Trash Cans
Posted on May 4th, 2021 Comments (0)

Please remember trash cans need to be stored away from street view. Some great storing options are:

  • Inside the garage
  • Behind a fence
  • Side of the home
  • Screened area

Rule 11.4 of the Broadview Shores Master Association Rules states trash cans and recycling containers must be stored in the garage, behind a fence on the side of a home, or in other screened area, except during the period beginning 6:00 pm the day before regularly scheduled trash or recycling collection and ending 8:00 pm the day of regularly scheduled trash or recycling collection.

Snow Removal Reminder

The winter season is here!

The HOA is responsible for any shared or private areas in the community such as shared driveways, sidewalks, and common areas. Snowplowing does not occur for accumulation under 2". Contractors will be dispatched when 2" or more has accumulated, or at the end of each snow event, depending on the conditions of the snow event. Based on the crew's starting location, you may not see them immediately.

Provo City is responsible for snow removal on all city streets. For more information on Provo snow removal procedures, please click HERE to be redirected to provo.org.

It may be a good idea to keep a shovel on hand in the event of a snow emergency. As well, always exercise care and diligence when venturing out, even if it's just to get the mail, as moisture in the air combined with freezing temperatures can create the perfect conditions for ice to form.

The SBA also began accepting applications for the Economic Injury Disaster Loan (EIDL) as well. A $10,000 forgivable advance is available for funds deployed in the eight weeks following approval. For more information on the EIDL, visit the website below.

Another innovative idea came from our friends at Silicon Slopes. They rolled out a Slopes Serves webpage this week dedicated to COVID-19 resources, which includes links to other resources and a text message chat bot, that can answer questions for your business.

Posted on Mar 27th, 2020
Dear Broadview Shores Residents,

Recently, the Salt Lake County Health Department released its guidelines to help limit the spread of COVID-19. At this time, the board is asking all residents to adhere to the Health Department guidelines for the safety of all residents within the community. We understand that we are in a different county, and want you to know that the HOA will not be patrolling or enforcing a government order, only that we are facilitating the distribution of information so that residents can take appropriate action to help limit the spread of COVID-19.

Salt Lake County Guidelines
Effective immediately and until further notice please adhere to the Health Department Guidelines as follows:
  1. Children’s playgrounds are closed
  2. Team sports, including pickup games, are prohibited
  3. Do not share equipment with others
  4. Sport fields and courts may be open but should be used individually or only by members of the same household
  5. We encourage individual sports and activities that allow 6 feet to remain between people not in the same household
  6. Recreational areas, including parks, trails, trail heads, dog parks, and sports fields and courts should be used only while maintaining 6-feet of space between people not in the same household
  7. Wash or sanitize hands frequently throughout the activity
  8. Pack out what you pack in to help maintain the safety of residents and association groundskeepers

Thank you for your continued patients at this time. Please let us know if you have any questions.

Sincerely,
Broadview Shores Master Association
Community Coronavirus/COVID-19 Update
Posted on Mar 23rd, 2020
Broadview Shores Residents,

Broadview Shores Master Association is committed to both your personal and community well-being as you face concerns and uncertainty surrounding the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19). We are closely monitoring information from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and federal, state and local agencies to help ensure we are taking appropriate actions in this evolving situation.

Broadview Shores is following the lead of the state and city and will be following those measures set by Governor Herbert.

• Limit mass gatherings to less than 10, including church meetings, concerts, and conferences.
• Those over the age of 60 and those with compromised immune systems should avoid gatherings of more than 20 people.
• If you or any member of your household are sick, stay home. If you can work from home, do so.

We want to ensure you that the health and safety of our residents are at the forefront of our minds during this time. In the abundance of caution for our employees and residents, we will be canceling the Broadview Shores Spring Spectacular and will replace with a large community event when we are in the clear.  We will sending out a community newsletter weekly, with Virtual Lifestyle programs and activities for all ages to participate in. If you do not receive our newsletter, make sure to reach out Brooke at blaulu@ccmcnet.com to get added to the list.

Our hope is that we are being overly cautious, but we are asking everyone to cooperate in taking preventive measures in fighting the virus. We plan to have added events at a future time, when all of this clears up and our safety and well-being is not at risk. We will continue to update you as changes are made. We ask that you be patient as we continue to evaluate this situation.

We want you to know that this is mainly precautionary. Please do your best to stay calm as you prepare for these preventative measures. We appreciate your willingness to take these precautions.

For additional information about COVID-19, visit the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention at www.cdc.gov. We will also be posting important updates on www.broadviewshoreshoa.com, Facebook and through email blast in regards to upcoming events, meetings and information.
